The Brewer-Garrett Company is proud to have been recognized by the Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) for our support of the Berea City School District. The Berea City School District named The Brewer-Garrett Company to the 2011 OSBA Business Honor Roll because of our long-lasting partnership.The District’s Energy Program, designed and implemented by Brewer-Garrett, has had a positive impact on both the facility’s infrastructure and budget. The partnership has, so far, resulted in five House Bill 264 projects beginning in 2001 continuing through today.


According to the OSBA website, the OSBA Business Honor Roll “provides districts an opportunity to recognize their local businesses and say ‘thanks’ for their contributions.”

The Brewer-Garrett Company received national designation as an MSCA Star & MSCA Green Star contractor.

MSCA STAR excellence achievement designation is a qualifications program recognizing the top mechanical service contractors. Established in 2003 by the Mechanical Service Contractors of America, MSCA STAR contractors have successfully passed an extensive, independent evaluation of key requirements that indicate that they are the best in the industry at delivering top-quality service.

MSCA GreenStar is a designation given to MSCA STAR companies who have shown an exceptional commitment to sustainable mechanical service and are recognized as leaders in the green movement within the HVAC industry.

The Governor's Award for Excellence in Energy recognizes individuals, businesses, industries and organizations that have improved Ohio's economic competitiveness and its environment through the effective, efficient, and innovative use of energy. The Brewer-Garrett Company has developed many award winning projects.

The Brewer-Garrett Company received the '2005 Vision Award' from Shaker Computer & Management Services.

Lou Joseph, President and CEO of The Brewer-Garrett Company, was honored with the 'Entrepreneur of the Year' award.

The Brewer-Garrett Company received the '2002 Vision Award' for the best use of technology in the HVAC industry from Constructech Magazine.

The Mechanical Contractors' Association of America honored Brewer-Garrett as a finalist for the 'E. Robert Kent Innovation Award' for the use of bar-code technology in service management and preventive maintenance.

The Brewer-Garrett Company won the '9-90 Award' for business excellence.

The Brewer-Garrett Company was featured in an article in Energy User News titled "Lakewood's Winterhurst Brings Home the Gold".
