The Brewer-Garrett Company is proud to have been recognized by the Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) for our support of the Berea City School District. The Berea City School District named The Brewer-Garrett Company to the 2011 OSBA Business Honor Roll because of our long-lasting partnership. The District has partnered with Brewer-Garrett because of their dedication to continuously improve the educational environment. The District’s Energy Program, designed and implemented by Brewer-Garrett, has had a positive impact on both the facility’s infrastructure and budget. The partnership has, so far, resulted in five House Bill 264 projects beginning in 2001 continuing through today.
Along with a boiler plant upgrade and a district wide lighting retrofit replacing outdated technology with energy efficient T-8 electronic ballasts and lamps, Brewer-Garrett has installed solar energy systems, including a solar array, grid interface, and power conditioning equipment. The solar display is located in a prominent public area and is used for educational purposes.
According to the OSBA website, the OSBA Business Honor Roll “provides districts an opportunity to recognize their local businesses and say ‘thanks’ for their contributions.”
At Brewer-Garrett, we believe in improving the situations of others in our community and helping them to thrive. By focusing on energy conservation, we have been able to work with universities, K-12 schools, hospitals, government, industrial, and commercial industries making a significant impact on our community as a whole.
“Our goal is to empower our customers to reduce their impact on global energy resources… we continually explore and evaluate advanced technologies to help our customers achieve the highest level cost savings, providing the most effective means to control energy use and improve profitability.” – Lou Joseph, President and CEO
