U.S. GSA Implementing Energy Efficient and Sustainable Smart Building Standards

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) is modernizing their existing buildings and establishing new design and construction standards in order to achieve energy efficiency and sustainability. Their smart building strategy will allow them to provide superior workplaces for federal customer agencies at good economies to the American taxpayer.

By implementing a smart building strategy, the GSA expects greater tenant satisfaction, a reduction in energy costs and environmental impact, a decrease in operational inefficiencies, and more benefits that have yet to be uncovered. For a full list and explanation of the anticipated benefits visit the Smart Buildings section of GSA’s website.

The GSA website states:
“These advantages will assist GSA in meeting all executive orders and guidance, meet current GSA administrative goals and objectives, and prepare GSA for future building technologies, security issues, and tenant requirements.”

Watch their video about how they plan to achieve these goals!
