H.B. 264

  • Are you seeing your utility cost dramatically increase?

  • Are there shortfalls in your operating budgets because you don’t have control over your utility cost?

  • Are members of your board asking how the electrical deregulation will effects your electrical cost?

  • Have you increased your utility budget by 30-50% budget for the coming year?

Energy costs are a large portion of a facilities operational budget. Static’s show that 87% of that budget is used to light, heat and cool your building. Reducing the amount of energy required to produce lighting, heating and cooling is an effective way of cutting operational deficits.

Today, utilities are not just another line item in the budget process. Utilities cannot be simply passed over as they were in the past when forecasting your district's budget. There are somethings that can be put off with out a loss of revenue. Energy efficiency work is not one of them. Every tick of the clock, every day that passes represents dollars that may be wasted in consuming needless energy. Although it is Brewer-Garrett’s intent to show districts ways to conserve energy, our main objective is to show you how to save money through a State sponsored HB264 program.

With more and more districts having levies fail because of voter fatigue and districts continually seeking additional avenues to generate revenue, many are turning to their mechanical systems and uncovering hundreds of thousand of dollars.  Because of the aggressive increases in utility cost, Brewer-Garrett is generating positive cash flow in over 90% of the districts we have seen. Who would have ever imagined walking into your boiler room and finding pots of gold!

There is no risk! Once Brewer-Garrett has issued a contractual savings through a performance contract, the district is guaranteed that savings. If the savings doesn’t materialize anytime throughout our agreement, then Brewer-Garrett will write you a check for the difference. Building Improvements + Energy Savings +Guaranteed Results + No Risk = High Reward!
