Energy Star Awarded to Cardinal Local Schools

Brewer-Garrett is an ongoing energy partner with Cardinal Local Schools. By providing cost savings solutions, including lighting retrofits, boiler replacements, demand control ventilation and building automation system upgrades, the District's Middle and High schools were each awarded a U.S. EPA Energy Star.

Medina City Schools Cogeneration System

Medina City Schools proudly introduced their new cogeneration unit (also called combined heat and power or CHP) which furthers their efforts in saving the district income through improving efficiency.  The addition of the cogeneration unit is part of the district's energy efficiency improvement project that started in 2008.

Guaranteed Operations & Maintenance: PlayhouseSquare

The Brewer-Garrett Company has been working with PlayhouseSquare since 1994. They provide full service maintenance and have implemented other significant improvements to PlayhouseSquare such as a central chilled water plant which works in conjunction with an older plant.

South Euclid, Ohio: A Sustainable City

The City of South Euclid selected Brewer-Garrett to provide solutions for the City’s Energy Conservation Program under House Bill 300/420.

Performance Contracting: MedCentral

Brewer-Garrett conducted an analysis at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital to evaluate the chilled water plant, including chillers, cooling towers, pumps and controls, to determine the savings that could be achieved by implementing design improvements to the chilled water system.

Comprehensive Program: Cuyahoga Community College

Brewer-Garrett has provided cost savings solutions to Cuyahoga Community College since 1997 and assisted the College in making further advances in energy conservation on all of their campuses. Major changes included lighting upgrades and demand ventilation changes system-wide.

Performance Contracting: Kent, OH Water Reclamation Facility

The City of Kent began the process of making facility upgrades and used HB 300 (HB 420) to help finance them. The City utilized a Request for Proposal to obtain information on companies and solutions for the buildings they had targeted for renovations.  The Brewer-Garrett team was selected by the City to provide energy conservation services under a Performance Contract.

Integrated Facility Services: Galleria & Tower at Erieview

Located in the heart of the Central Business District in Cleveland,The Galleria & Tower at Erieview presented Brewer-Garrett with a unique opportunity to upgrade antiquated mechanical systems and provide an on-site maintenance staff, all while guaranteeing the owner over $1,000,000 in annual cost savings.

Energy Conservation Program: Evergreen Local Schools

Evergreen Local School District enlisted Brewer-Garrett to design an HB 264 energy conservation program which allows K-12 districts to become energy efficient using utility cost savings to pay for improvements instead of taxpayer dollars. The project encompassed both traditional and non-traditional energy savings methods.

Campus Sustainability: Kent State University

Kent State University has a commitment to campus sustainability and has been working closely with Brewer-Garrett to accomplish their sustainability initiatives. Utilizing House Bill 7 (HB 7) Brewer-Garrett implemented many conservation measures at KSU during our ongoing partnership.

HB 264 Energy Conservation Program: Field Local Schools

HB 264 allows K-12 districts to become energy efficient by using utility cost savings to pay for improvements. Field Local School District enlisted energy services company, Brewer-Garrett, to design and install an HB 264 energy conservation program to save the school money while providing a healthier, safer, and energy efficient learning environment.

Preventive Maintenance: Intralot

Preventive maintenance programs significantly reduce electricity bills, extend the life of equipment, and often pay for themselves by reducing operation and replacement costs. Cleveland commercial HVAC company, Brewer-Garrett, implemented a comprehensive preventive HVAC maintenance plan that keeps Intralot running.
