Why Commissioning?

Re-Commissioning vs. Retro-Commissioning

Re-Commissioning is a one-time process for buildings that have been previously commissioned, but their performance has drifted over time. It identifies problems and restores lost performance at your facility. Retro-Commissioning is for buildings that have not undergone the commissioning process, and it identifies the root causes of operational and overall performance issues.

Continuous Commissioning

Continuous Commissioning is a periodic process, and it’s often the most beneficial to your building. It will identify whether or not your systems are functioning properly by tracking energy usage over time. It helps to extend equipment life, recommends system changes to match changing space utilization, and fine-tunes equipment maintenance procedures.

Pre-Approved by the OFCC

Brewer-Garrett is one of only eight commissioning firms to be pre-approved by the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC).
