Aultman Hospital
Canton, OHDesign-Build
Aultman Health Foundation selected BG to implement a comprehensive infrastructure modernization program at its flagship Canton campus, addressing immediate facility needs while incorporating approximately 10 years of planned capital improvements into an 18-month project. Upgrades included a new 4,000-square-foot centralized emergency powerhouse with two 2,500 kW generators, providing critical redundancy, expanded capacity, and future scalability.
BG also replaced aging chillers with high-efficiency variable-speed units, added cooling tower capacity, corrected hydraulic issues, and upgraded air handling systems throughout the campus to improve comfort, indoor air quality, and energy performance. A new open-protocol building automation system consolidated facility data onto a common platform, while retro-commissioning verified system operation and optimized performance. Through careful coordination in an active healthcare environment, BG delivered reliable, code-compliant infrastructure improvements that reduced energy use, strengthened resiliency, and positioned the campus for long-term operational needs.
