Our approach for this project included:
Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) Systems
VRF systems are known for their energy efficiency, which makes them a good investment that quickly pays for itself. And because they can simultaneously provide heating and cooling, this system can be customized to the Franklin D. Roosevelt Academy’s seasonal needs.
Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS)
DOAS provide a single source of ventilation versus traditional parallel systems. Because they’re committed to this single task, they’re more energy efficient, and the savings speak for themselves.
Single Zone Variable Air Volume (SZVAV) Air Handling Units
SZVAV air handling units are perfect for maintaining areas at a constant, set point. Because air flow can be lowered when areas are not occupied, the installation of SZVAV air handling units almost always result in significant energy savings.
LED interior lighting upgrade with controls
After a thorough lighting audit, Brewer-Garrett found that the lighting levels throughout the school left much to be desired. New LED lights were installed to improve lighting levels and reduce eye strain, while requiring less maintenance.
