Columbus City Schools
Columbus, OHDesign-Build
BG successfully delivered a fast-tracked $20.6M design-build renovation across 16 schools in the Columbus City School district (CCS) totaling nearly 1.8 million square feet. The project modernized critical HVAC infrastructure, including air handling units, boilers, rooftop units, and building automation systems, creating more comfortable learning environments for students and staff. Despite supply chain delays and an evolving project scope, BG adapted quickly—fast-tracking critical boiler replacements ahead of heating season and proactively preparing installations before equipment arrived. Working closely with CCS, the team coordinated construction during occupied school periods, minimizing disruptions while prioritizing safety. The project’s success demonstrates BG’s ability to manage complex, large-scale renovations under tight timelines while remaining flexible in the face of unexpected challenges.
